This R410A refrigerant is supplied in a 25 lb factory-sealed cylinder and is intended for use in HVAC and refrigeration systems specifically designed for R410A. R410A is a high-pressure HFC refrigerant commonly used in residential and light commercial air-conditioning and heat pump applications.
R410A operates at significantly higher pressure than R-22 and provides higher cooling capacity in systems engineered to accommodate its operating characteristics. Equipment designed for R410A typically uses smaller components to achieve equivalent cooling performance. This refrigerant requires POE (polyolester) lubricants and is not recommended for retrofitting R-22 systems.
